Expressing
approval of the fact that the artist is full of energy and full of new and
exciting ideas. Through this process creates spontaneous artworks that
challenge the perspective of what art is, how energy is transformed through colour
and texture – to create a hint of where art is going for the future. Within
that challenge is observing the natural environment, to create works that
showcase an ever-changing world that surrounds us – hence some of the artworks
are relative to each other and some are not, playing with new and old ideas of
Sean’s artmaking. Refurbishing scraps, old pallets/canvases create the
uniqueness of the exhibition – objects and materials that were throw aways are
now colourful pieces of artworks on display, relating back to the meaning of
DYNAMISM.
Malaga / Gary Silipa
'malaga' is the Samoan translation of the English word 'journey'. The title not only reflects life's path for Gary, but also the experiences that impact what he makes and the processes by which it is made.
